We’ve teamed up with Eddie Bauer to make your fall as adventurous as possible. Whether you’re suiting up for a trek in the woods or planning a weekend in the backcountry, the outdoor innovators at Eddie Bauer have everything you need. And don’t worry—we’ve got the menu covered.

Do you smell that? It smells like campfires and warm nights are just around the corner. It’s time to get back outside and stay there for as long as the weather allows, and as a bartender and nature lover, I believe no adventure is complete without snacks and sips. When I pack for a camping trip, I focus on convenience first and foremost. Instead of bringing my entire back bar and all the tools in my kitchen, I choose a few drinks to complement whatever I’m planning to cook. Most of the time, I end up batching a lot of my cocktails to bring with me for the sake of ease—fewer things to remember means fewer things to forget. With the right gear from a trusted outdoor outfitter like Eddie Bauer (think: packable seating solutions, ultra-light clothes for layering, and multitasking coolers) and foolproof food and bev combos, you'll be able to soak up all the wilderness has to offer, plus a few creature comforts.

We’ve teamed up with NOLET’S Gin to share our favorite wintry riffs on the classic Negroni cocktail—from spice-infused to seasonal apple. It’s that time of year again—the time when many of us start to adjust to shorter days and settle into the longer nights. We’ll bundle up, hunker down, and grab a glass of something comforting. Oftentimes, that glass of something is a darker, browner spirit. But this season, I’m leaning on one of my favorite clear spirits, gin, to mix up a cocktail classic: the Negroni.

Remember summers as a kid? Long days outside, running to see friends, splashing in the pool, feeling like there’s all the time in the world (and at the same time, none at all). As things slowly start to reopen and the heat settles in for the season, I can’t help but feel a bit of nostalgia—almost like it's summer vacation all over again. With that nostalgia comes the flavors of my childhood: the sweet-tart taste of fresh-picked berries, the smell of smoke from a fire, and the feeling of a brain freeze after slurping down a root beer float too quickly.

With the temperature dropping here in Maine, I’m beginning to layer up. The boots and heavier jacket are a given, but come winter, I like to have something to warm the soul, too.
