Is there anything that screams fall more than apple pie?

There’s just something special about the combo of flaky pastry, tart apples, and warm spices that makes me feel happy from the inside out.

Last year I was all about making apple crumb pie, and this year I am all about making these little apple hand pies.

They are so much fun to make, and who doesn’t love a mini dessert?

In fact, I think they’d be right at home on your Thanksgiving menu alongside mini pecan pies. How cute would it be to have a whole lineup of mini pies for dessert?

If you find yourself counting down the days until you can get your hands on Cranberry Bliss Bars, this copycat recipe is exactly what you need to enjoy them at home any time of the year.

Three cranberry bliss bars arranged on a white plate, with a bite taken out of one of them

I used to count down the days until I could buy the Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bar. But now I have my own recipe, and honestly, it’s even better!

Cranberry is such a wonderful flavor that deserves more attention all year long. I’m not complaining about it getting its due in winter, though.

The flavors in these cranberry bars are similar to another copycat recipe of mine, glazed orange scones, as well as my cranberry orange bread and cranberry orange cinnamon rolls.

What can I say, I love the combo of cranberry and orange!

Four pumpkin oatmeal cookies stacked next to a glass of milk

I’m starting to get into cookie mode over here. While in the school pickup line the other day, I made a list of all of the cookie recipes that I want to bake over the holidays.

I must say that I have a pretty good list going with everything from Peanut Butter Blossoms and Crispy Ginger Cookies to these pretty Snowflake Sugar Cookies and classic Gingerbread Cookies.

But before I head into full-on Christmas cookie mode, I decided to whip up a couple of batches of cookies that are full of festive fall flavors.

Pumpkin cookies are a go-to every fall. I’ve made them even better with my favorite cookie add-ins!

I am all about keeping things simple at this time of year.

Instead of cooking at home, we’re ordering pizza and wings for pre-trick-or-treat dinner and I’m whipping up these super simple semi-homemade Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes for dessert. I just plan on topping them with one of those little pumpkin candies you can find near the candy corn to make them a little more festive.

You all know I love my doctored cake mix recipes, and I couldn’t resist giving it a seasonal twist.

The result is these pumpkin spice cupcakes that are so irresistibly moist you can’t stop at just one!

If you love pumpkin bundt cake, you’ll definitely fall for the combo of spice cake mix and pumpkin. The lightly spiced cream cheese frosting makes the cupcakes so special.

As soon the temperatures turn fall-like, Apple Crisp automatically becomes the most popular dessert in our house. And because of that, I always have the essentials on hand to make it on a whim.

My husband happened to pick up a bag full of beautiful pears from our local fruit stand, but they started to ripen way quicker than we could eat them, so I decided to put them to good use and whipped up this Apple Pear Crisp over the weekend.

We love to serve Apple Pear Crisp with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce, but it’s perfectly delicious on its own, or with a little dollop of homemade whipped cream.

Baked apple turnovers on a piece of parchment paper

As soon as it’s fall, I typically go all in with loads of pumpkin desserts, but this year, I’ve decided to momentarily put pumpkin on pause and share some delicious apple recipes first.

My little one has been learning all about Johnny Appleseed at school, so we’ve been taste testing different apple varieties and researching ways to keep sliced apples from browning in her lunch box.

So far, we’re loving the brining method from the Kitchn where you simply dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of Kosher salt into 1 cup of cold water and let the sliced apples soak in the salty water for 10 minutes. Then I give them a rinse, bag them up and toss them into her lunch box.

You’re probably wondering if they’re salty, right? Nope, a quick rinse removes any hint of salt and this little trick definitely prevents browning.

Since we’ve had a lot of apples on hand this week, I decided to whip up this recipe for easy Apple Turnovers. They’re simple, delicious and the perfect breakfast for fall.

If you happened to catch my Classic Zucchini Bread recipe post, you may remember me telling you how ready for fall I am.

Despite last week’s hot an humid temps, I’m thinking we’re finally easing our way into my favorite season. Although we haven’t headed to our favorite apple orchard just yet, I did happen to have a bunch of Granny Smith apples on hand a couple of weeks ago and decided to whip up these Easy Apple Dumplings.

This simple recipe comes together super quickly which makes it the perfect weeknight dessert and it is enough to get even the tiniest of helpers involved.

I know it’s December, but we’re still into no bake desserts, right? I mean, is there ever really a time not to be into them?

I shared this recipe for No-Bake Cranberry Cheesecakes years ago and decided that the post needed a little upgrade in the photo department.

Not to mention this recipe is super simple and totally delicious which makes it absolutely perfect for the holidays, or just a random Friday night when you’re craving festive cheesecake.
