Ohhhh my gosh – it’s time!

I show you how to create a perfect tailgate snack spread with ALDI! It's super easy, quick, affordable and obviously delicious!

I could not be more thrilled to start talking tailgate recipes. Give me all the snacks and cider!

Today I’m partnering with ALDI to share a bunch of my favorite no-fuss recipes for football season! A few weeks ago, we tested a ton of recipes for a spread that you will love. Seriously, try it one weekend this season! ALDI was my one-stop shop for everything and I grabbed ingredients to throw together my own dishes, a few of my favorites that are so good for quick recipe assembly (looking at you pulled pork…. yessssss) and a bunch of snacks that we LOVE.

I am SO excited to show you guys how to make a killer tailgate spread with all things ALDI! You know that every year I love to share my football food recipes or tailgate menus. So I gathered some of the best things to make a quick, seriously affordable, no-fuss tailgating spread for the football weekends to come this fall.

Let’s get to it!

Veggie Walking Tacos for a Crowd

I used a big bag of the Clancy’s Tortilla Chips to make a giant vegetarian walking taco. I’ve been doing this for years and it is always such a hit, not to mention simple. And you can customize it however you like! It’s one of those no-recipe recipes. You know?

Rip open the bag of chips, add some sautéed peppers and onions, then go to town with your toppings like cheese, pico de gallo, guacamole and cilantro. You can also add on chicken or pork. It’s an embarrassingly easy way to make nachos happen and also brings me back to high school football games when we could get a walking taco from the snack stand. This one is served family style, obviously, and it’s perfect for a tailgating spread that has lots of other bites.

Pulled Pork on Hawaiian Rolls with Crunchy Slaw

Another staple is the Park Street Deli Pulled Pork on L’Oven Fresh Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. You guys KNOW what a huge pulled pork fan I am. This stuff is so, so good. I used the Burman’s Kansas City BBQ Sauce on the pork and we made a homemade slaw as well!

This slaw is similar to one that my uncle makes all summer long. It’s fantastic. This is super easy but very flavorful. Grab a bag of coleslaw mix and add some sliced bell pepper and sliced jalapeño pepper to it. Sprinkle on lots of salt and pepper, squeeze on some fresh lime and drizzle with olive oil. Toss it up and enjoy the major crunch. We adore it.

Buffalo Chicken Pasta Salad

Next up, buffalo chicken pasta salad! OH my gosh, YES. This may be the biggest hit of the day, because you can easily serve leftovers right from the fridge. It has lots of crunch and tons of flavor!

For this recipe, I boiled a bag of the Priano Rigatoni Bronze Cut Pasta. I also used the Lunch Mate Grilled Chicken Breast Strips which are basically better than rotisserie! The rest of the ingredients are exactly as you’d think with buffalo chicken: carrots, cilantro, scallions, a little celery (I know, I know!), white cheddar and blue cheese. Add in a few handfuls of each.

To make the dressing, I whisked together ¼ cup mayo with ¼ cup Burman’s Hot Sauce. I whisked in a dash of apple cider vinegar, some freshly cut chives and a pinch of sugar.

After tossing the pasta with the sauce (it’s very lightly dressed – if you love major dressing, double the recipe!), it comes together and has SO much flavor. So much crunch too. It stays SO well in the fridge.

Tailgate Sangria

To make a crowd-pleasing tailgate sangria, stir together one bottle pinot noir, one cup orange juice, one cup apple cider, one cup lemon lime soda, ½ cup brandy, one chopped apple, one sliced orange and one sliced lime. Stir everything together and keep it in the fridge until you’re ready to drink! You can easily multiply this recipe depending on how many friends you’re serving!

A few of the other favorites that we have grabbed over and over from ALDI:

  • Kirkwood Honey BBQ wings (these wings are so, so good. Eddie loves em. I like to make this warm blue cheese dip (minus the fig) with them.)
  • Savoritz Garlic Pita Crackers (these are seriously unreal!)
  • Park Street Deli Hummus Quartet (a little bit for everyone!)
  • And I made some seasoned pretzels using Clancy’s Pretzel Twists

This was SO much fun and I absolutely love the idea of being able to grab everything – seriously, everything from ALDI! Another super fun addition that they have for this season is this buffalo check outdoor blanket. They have premium stadium seats too, so literally – EVERYTHING! You can find it all. These items will be in ALDI for a limited time starting August 28th, so run run run to your local store!

So tell me! What is on your list this year for your tailgates?! I LIVE for this time of year and love getting ideas from you guys. Share share share!
