As I mentioned yesterday in my post for Frosted Ginger Cookies, it’s full-on holiday treat factory over here. And while I love baking our favorite Christmas cookies, I think bar desserts need a little love around the holidays too.

My gooey butter cookies are some of my favorites, so when the holiday season rolled around I knew I wanted to try a seasonal twist on this classic flavor.

And honestly, what food is more festive during the holidays than cranberries?

Dessert bars are great for the holidays because they are perfectly portioned and are easier to make than cookies.

These cake bars are similar to cranberry crumb bars and cranberry bliss bars, but have a wonderful sweetened cream cheese filling that balances the tart berries.

It really shouldn’t surprise you that getting in the kitchen and baking up holiday treats is one of my favorite things to do once the holiday season rolls around. I mean, I run a site called “My Baking Addiction” for a reason!

But as much as I love whipping up baked goods like Chewy Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies and Easy Chocolate Bundt Cake this time of year, I also love having an arsenal of no-bake recipes to turn to.

After all, sometimes my oven is in use baking something else, and sometimes I just want something that’s quick to pull together!

Not to mention that no-bake recipes are so much fun to make with Elle.

That’s why recipes like Chocolate Peppermint Scotcheroos, Popcorn Balls, No-Bake Cheesecake Bars, and these Peanut Butter Pretzel Bars are some of my favorites to throw together these days.

If you find yourself counting down the days until you can get your hands on Cranberry Bliss Bars, this copycat recipe is exactly what you need to enjoy them at home any time of the year.

Three cranberry bliss bars arranged on a white plate, with a bite taken out of one of them

I used to count down the days until I could buy the Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bar. But now I have my own recipe, and honestly, it’s even better!

Cranberry is such a wonderful flavor that deserves more attention all year long. I’m not complaining about it getting its due in winter, though.

The flavors in these cranberry bars are similar to another copycat recipe of mine, glazed orange scones, as well as my cranberry orange bread and cranberry orange cinnamon rolls.

What can I say, I love the combo of cranberry and orange!

This is probably the most “mom” statement ever, but here goes:

My girl is growing up way too fast. I can’t stand it. I feel like I’m going to blink and she’ll be driving.

Thankfully, she still does things that remind me that she’s still a little girl, at least for a bit longer.

Like her excitement over eating apples she picked herself. The girl loves all apples, but gets SO excited when she’s picked them herself.

So I love getting in the kitchen with her and whipping up some after-school snacks using those apples she’s picked. Sometimes it’s Apple Cinnamon Muffins, sometimes it’s Apple Pie Bread, and lately it’s these Apple Bars.

Four peanut butter and jelly bars scattered on a white plate next to a knife with peanut butter on the tip

I don’t know what it is about this time of year, but it seems like every September, right around back-to-school time, I get a serious craving for these peanut butter and jelly bars.

These bars are a tried and true Ina Garten recipe that I originally shared way back in the early years of my blog and I have made them countless times since then.
