I’ve never met a potato that I didn’t like.

Knowing how to bake potatoes is obviously a must, and I can’t get enough of Garlic Mashed Potatoes or Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes

And that’s not even mentioning tots. Let’s just say we could have a sub-site called My Tater Tot Addiction without much effort.

Growing up, scalloped potatoes often frequented our dinner table and were usually peppered with pieces of leftover ham or slices of kielbasa. It was a quick, inexpensive dinner that was sure to please everyone around the table.

I remember searching for a homemade scalloped potatoes recipe a number of years ago. I actually remember doubting the recipes because I thought there was no way something so incredibly rich, decadent and delicious could be so simple. I was wrong.

Homemade Scalloped Potatoes are not only easy, they are also quite inexpensive and versatile. The beauty of scalloped potatoes is that although they are simple and economical, they can also be quite impressive – which makes them perfect for gracing any holiday table from Easter to Christmas.

If you find yourself counting down the days until you can get your hands on Cranberry Bliss Bars, this copycat recipe is exactly what you need to enjoy them at home any time of the year.

Three cranberry bliss bars arranged on a white plate, with a bite taken out of one of them

I used to count down the days until I could buy the Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bar. But now I have my own recipe, and honestly, it’s even better!

Cranberry is such a wonderful flavor that deserves more attention all year long. I’m not complaining about it getting its due in winter, though.

The flavors in these cranberry bars are similar to another copycat recipe of mine, glazed orange scones, as well as my cranberry orange bread and cranberry orange cinnamon rolls.

What can I say, I love the combo of cranberry and orange!

Sausage and Lentil Soup is thick and hearty, loaded with Italian sausage, lentils, and vegetables in a tomato-based broth. This is the comforting recipe you need this winter!

You guys, I swear I say this every single year, but I am trying to get ahead and stay organized with my holiday shopping.

Last year, I put forth quite the effort for about a week and then failed miserably and ended up shopping on Christmas Eve and wrapping gifts until about 2am.

Not this year, folks. I’m sitting at my computer right now monitoring Cyber Monday deals because this girl is not a Black Friday shopper. In fact, I’m not much of an in-person shopper period, unless we’re talking Target!

So I’m dedicating this day to tackling my shopping list while watching big, fluffy snowflakes swirl around outside!

Rum Balls are a classic holiday treat. Boozy, chocolatey and rich, store these beauties in the refrigerator for several days for an even better flavor!

9 rum balls with assorted toppings arranged in a box for gifting

Ohio is clearly a little confused in terms of the weather right now. It was sunny and almost 50 degrees today which is a little disappointing considering Christmas is in 4 days and last year we were expecting a huge winter storm around this time.

What can I say? I’m all for a white Christmas.

Despite the warm and sunny weather, we’re checking off items on our holiday baking list one by one.

I’ve got all the ingredients for peanut butter blossoms, snowball cookies, gingerbread cookies, saltine toffee, peanut brittle and of course, rum balls.

I don’t know what the weather is like where you live right now, but the weather here in Ohio is all kinds of whacky.

Part of me is all Yes! It’s going to be 85 today, we can take Elle swimming and eat dinner on the patio.

The other part of me is all HELLO! It’s mid-September and I just want to sip a pumpkin spice latte and wear my new sweatshirt without being drenched in sweat by 2pm.
