I typically gravitate to warm fruit desserts, berry custards, or bread puddings, so naturally, a Flaugnarde of Mixed Berries has my name all over it. A flaugnarde is a rustic French custard-like dessert that is made with eggs, milk, and fruit and then dusted with powdered sugar and eaten warm. Because this recipe is more of a custard, using whole eggs is a must. So, to lighten it, I replaced the cream with low-fat milk and was really please with the results. Italian Shrimp Oreganata is an easy weeknight meal that cooks in under 12 minutes. Just toss the butterflied shrimp with white wine, salt, and red pepper and place them on a sheet pan topped with the breadcrumb mixture. Bake on a foil-lined sheet pan for about eight minutes and broil for two, so the breadcrumbs get nice and golden. Spinach and Ricotta Quiche and Chicken Quiche are so popular on my site, but I often get asked how to make it crustless. For this low-carb version, I made this with no crust, with chicken sausage and spinach plus I used some light cream to give the eggs more of a creamier custard texture, as most quiches have rather than a spongier baked egg texture. This turned out delicious! It’s so easy to make and is perfect for any meal of the day.
