Nearly halfway through October. Time slow down!!

On another episode of our pumpkin farm tour…

Fall spam, 24/7.

Drop off line shenanigans.

Look at that windowpane pull of my sourdough!!!

Holiday queen.

I can’t believe these pumpkin varieties didn’t seem to exist when I was a kid.

A little witch.

Decided she wanted a bubble braid 24 seconds before walking out the door!

We could see the Northern lights!!! It was so hard to capture on my phone but we caught it.

This seems reasonable. I’m a christmas elf!

Eddie and I celebrated our anniversary this week!

Once every month I want a hot coffee. Then I proceed to drink only 1/4 of it before switching to iced.

We made Halloween haunted houses.

The amount of sprinkles these kids snuck…

Jordan’s first time mostly doing it by himself!! He was thrilled.

Date night to celebrate!

16 years of looking across the table.

Yessss.

Max loves his flag games.

Everything in the kitchen is fair game for him to steal!!

He is so funny.

And cute.

And the littlest baby of all the babies!!!

6am hockey game arrival!

Obsessed.

Emilia and I did some crafts and baking.

Finished off with more Halloween fun for the weekend!

You guys have been asking me for years to share an amazon favorites post, so here it is! In time for prime day, I thought I’d share the 15 things I think are totally worth it. You can find more of my picks here, as well as my amazon store front. My kids’ birthdays are in the late fall too, so I’ve already started making some gift guides since I’ve bought some birthday and christmas gifts for them!

What are you loving?!

Top 15 Amazon Prime Day Favorites

Tineco iFloor 3. I’ve mentioned this a few times but it changed my life. I mean, not to be dramatic. It changed my cleaning life! This cleans my floors like NOTHING else. It is incredibly satisfying and cleans so well. There are some weeks when I use it daily!

Parchment Paper Sheets. I buy these over and over again. Can’t live in my kitchen without them!

All Clad Immersion blender. It’s soup season! I have not always loved the immersion blender but this one changed my mind. It works SO fast and it’s easy to use. It doesn’t spray everywhere. It’s super smooth makes blending in a pot simple.

Amazon Smart Plugs. I use these every holiday season and adore them. All of our christmas tree lights hook up to these, as well as any lit garland in the house. With one command, all the holiday lights come on! So easy.

Breville Barista Touch. During prime day this past summer, I made an impulse purchase and oh my, was it wonderful. I love this and so does everyone who steps foot in my house! It’s like having a little coffee shop in your home. The coffee is incredible.

LEVOIT Air Purifiers. I bought these last year when we moved into our house, mostly because there was still some work happening. I have a few around the house (our room, upstairs, basement, etc) and am so happy with them.

KitchenAid cordless hand mixer. Going cordless on this changed my life. It is SO much easier to use in the kitchen and especially with kids.

Le Creuset Dutch Oven. I use my dutch oven multiple times a week – for so many different dishes. Even for bread. It’s a must have and this quality is unmatched.

Apple AirPods Max. I didn’t expect to like these, but I have ended up LOVING them. They are the most comfortable noise cancelling headphones I’ve ever used. They are wonderful!!

Breville the Smart Oven® Air Fryer Pro. This is one of my favorite kitchen appliances. I love having it in my kitchen to easily reheat items or make things like quick chicken fingers for the kids. Definitely my favorite air fryer too!

wernies No Show Socks. Best socks ever! They do not slip at all. I have repurchased these many many times.

Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor. I got this in 2021 when I had Jordan and it was one of the best purchases. I love it. I travel with it and still use it every night.

Wall Charger, Surge Protector. I have a few of these and I like to travel with them. They are also great in the kitchen. We all have so many different devices these days that having this is necessary.

Beckham Hotel Collection Bed Pillows. A few years ago I was googling the best pillows. I’ve done this many times and we’ve never been satisfied. But 3 or 4 years ago we got these (and have since replaced once or twice!) and they are INCREDIBLE. We both love them. We have the king version.

Clean skin club facial towels. I’ve been using these for over a year every night and I swear they’ve changed my skin. I was going through so many towels to ensure I always had a clean one for my face, and with little kids and hand washing, it was hard to determine that. I LOVE these – they are so convenient and easy to use.

Kindle Paperwhite. I had to include this bonus because I can’t live without my kindle these days. Max also has one and uses it constantly when we’re on the go. I take mine everywhere. I actually get anxious if I forget it at home!

Got a great reading month in! One book stole the show and the others floated by but I still enjoyed them.

Be on the lookout for my whole fall reading list soon too.

I do have a book of the month membership – I love it so much. That’s where I got a few books from this month. I get so many of my new releases and debut author books there. You can sign up for one here.

Most of these books are linked through bookshop (if available!) and I highly suggest shopping through there because it will support your local indie bookstore. You can choose the local bookstore to support! I support Penguin Books when I buy which is my fave here in Pittsburgh.

Let me know what you’re reading below!

WHAT I READ IN SEPTEMBER 2024

The Housemaid’s Secret – 3.5 stars

I started the Housemaid series last month so I had to continue. These books are such fast reads and very twisty – and I love that they don’t really involve kids when it comes to the thriller part. We follow the same character as the first book but it’s years later. She’s trying to stay away from her old life but gets roped back into her ways and wow – the way this one ends is crazy! It’s definitely my second favorite (after book #1).

The Housemaid is Watching 3.5 stars

This one was my least favorite, but still good. In this book, we jump ahead many years (it was a little jarring!) to when Millie moves into a suburban area from the city. Drama ensues with the neighbors. I didn’t care for these characters or this storyline so much, and the kid parts made me cringe a bit, but it was still really twisty and good. Another very quick read where you don’t know what is going to happen!

The Wedding People – 5 stars

Easily my best read of the month and possibly, year! This book was SO good and lived up to all the hype. It has a heavier start, when Phoebe checks into a hotel to end her own life. What transpire is crazy – she is the only one at the hotel who ISN’T there for the wedding. The characters in this are incredible. They are all so likeable and loveable even when they aren’t perfect. It is such a wonderful story. I cannot recommend it enough!

The Pumpkin Spice Cafe – 3 stars

This was very cute and gilmore girls-ish. In this book, we follow Jeanie who moves to a small town (very much like stars hollow) when she inherits her aunt’s coffee shop. The characters in the town were great. I loved the town feel and it’s definitely a good fall book. I didn’t get a ton of chemistry with her and the love interest and it felt a bit young adult/juvenile to me. Still cute though. Another fast easy read.

Rock Bottom Girl – 3 stars

This also came after The Wedding People. It was a quick and easy light read, but the story fell flat for me. I didn’t love the whole teacher storyline even though the ending does end up being fun/cute/slightly heartwarming. We follow Marley who ends up as a gym teacher and soccer coach after her life all but falls apart. She is reacquainted with a high school love interest (and some frenemies) and we go from there. I thought the best part of the whole book was Libby!!

Fall Into Temptation – 3.5 stars

Another one that came after The Wedding People and just couldn’t live up to the hype! I liked the one more than the above though. We follow Gianna and Beckett who shouldn’t end up together but have crazy chemistry. Another one with really cute characters and I did like the storyline more than I thought. End is cute too!

One Star Romance – 4 stars

Got this in my book of the month box! I really really liked it. We meet Natalie and Rob, the friends of a couple getting married. They have a very rocky start and hope to never see each other again, but continue to bump into each other because of these friends. It’s VERY cute and sort of harry met sally-ish. Love the ending, it’s super heartwarming and really wonderful.

6. TV things!! Oh my gosh, how amazing is Nobody Wants This?! Incredible!

7. We got a new christmas tree for the holiday season. It was delivered and is still sitting in the hallway because I am very tempted to just put it up! Not decorate it, but put it up so we don’t have to drag it downstairs and then back up.

8. Decluttering tips for super busy people. We are all so busy!

40 weeks into the year!

HOW THE HECK DOES IT GO SO FAST?!

Kids didn’t have school on Monday which means fun!

I always burn the nuts.

These two could play with sand and play dough for hours.

Also got into the dress up bins!

I only do hot coffee like twice a year.

Cutest boy in the school drop off line!

These fall skies.

They were trying to cover themselves in pumpkins.

Blends right in!

I made white chicken chili at some point.

And apple crisp.

We went to the pumpkin patch!

First visit of the year. It was HOT and humid and rainy.

This heat is really cramping our fall style and outfits.

Fave.

I was DYING over this pot. I want to do this arrangement for fall next year on my front porch.

Apple cider donuts forever.

We wait all year for one!

Loved it.

Hockey officially started this weekend!!

Cheer squad.

We need all the snacks.

Painting more Halloween crafts in between games.

And cross country today!!

Big PR for Max which was AMAZING because he had two hockey games in nearly 12 hours and the race right after the second!

Literally the happiest runner ever!

She’s like a running puppy. She ADORES puppies. She got a new PR too!

And that was our week! Yay fall!

A peek at everything I loved in September 2024!

FOOD

American Spoon chocolate granola. It’s no secret how much I love their classic granola. They released this one last month and I have been LOVING it. Have to order a second jar.

Poppi cherry cola. We are also huge poppi fans, but some flavors are too sweet for me. The orange is my favorite and now this one is coming in as a close second. It’s so good.

Fruit Riot grapes. These are so freaking good. Emilia loves them too. The mixed berry are my favorite!

HOME

Kodak photo printer. I can’t tell you how many times the kids need some sort of 4×6 photo for school and I never order it in time. I love this printer!! It’s so easy to use. We have used the canon mini sticker printer for years, but this one is great when we need things for school or a regular size photo.

Rifle Paper halloween. A repeat but I am still LOVING this fun halloween entertaining stuff. I have the bowls, plates, platters – we’ve been using it everyday and the kids love it. They are also obsessed with the ghost sticky notes!

Stanley backpack cooler. We’ve had a lot of activities outside this month, most notably cross country meets that are long and right in the middle of the day. This cooler is SO good – it fits so much and is comfortable on the back. I’ve already given two for gifts. We love it!

BEAUTY

Fenty Beauty gloss balm gloss stick. This is my favorite kind of lip product to wear – a hint of sheen, but no mirror needed to apply. And super comfortable on the lips!

Afternoon delight perfume. This is a repeat but GOSH it is SO good. My cousin smelled and it was like, oh my gosh, this is YOU. I love this scent so much, and it’s light enough for warm weather. But warm enough for cozy weather too!

Makeup by Mario setting spray. I always get excited about a new setting spray and this one is phenomenal. Makeup does not move!!

FASHION

Cozy Earth ribbed joggers. I usually avoid cozy earth because they sponsor ten million people so I can never tell if it’s *really* good. But I bought a pair of these joggers and oh my – heaven. They are so comfortable, silky and soft.

Teddy rest feelslides. I am obsessed with all things shearling (shoes and bags – I really want this one) – and I was so excited when I saw these last week. I got the black and they are so comfortable. Perfect for fall weather when I’m running the kids to school, activities, etc.

MZ Wallace micro sling. I am obsessed with this copy of the LV mini bumbag for an actual fraction of the cost. The black lacquer and metallic colors!! It’s still pricey but not near the thousands that the LV one is.

Bauble Bar halloween earrings. Can’t help it. I am now my mother with seasonal decor on my body. It’s all for my kids.

MEDIA

The Wedding People!! One of my best books of the year (if not the best). It is incredible.

The Perfect Couple. I absolutely LOVED the rendition of one of my favorite Elin books. I thought it was incredible!

Sabrina Carpenter Short n Sweet album. Can’t stop listening. That is all.

KIDS

Mondo Llama Halloween ceramic house. I’ve shared these many times before – my kids love them! This one lights up and the kids love having it in their room!

Nordstom active socks. Both Max and Jordan have these socks and they are SO SOFT. The only downside for Jordan is that they don’t have grips on the bottom. But Max is obsessed with them. I have never felt socks so soft!

Uno Teams. We’re still in out huge uno phase. Playing constantly! This is the current fave.

Cross country practice.

How to entertain yourself during siblings’ practices.

Sweetest.

Make a wish!

He’s so fun in the car drop off line.

A mostly clean fall kitchen!

Happy boy.

We also had open house for school.

Max instantly ran off with friends. Emilia showed us all her work!

Jordan is always along for the ride.

He gets so proud that he is in school now too!

Happiest girl on earth!

Laser tag with friends.

Coffee with friends!

Beep beep. The kids play with the nugget couches everyday, no matter what. Best thing ever.

Had a fun little arcade day with the kids.

And pizza!

Made Eddie a funfetti cake for his birthday!

Very into it.

We also made Eddie’s fave dinner!

Lemon butter chicken from Everyday Dinners.

Cutest.

Emilia actually made this whole cake by herself.

It was so good!

How are they mine?!

This weekend we got a few pumpkins!

I prefer the ones that are the least orange.

Like the pink ones!

These mums were also SO pretty.

That’s my fall color palette.

Captain Emilia.

Had another cross country race today!!

The kids are doing so amazing.

Love love love watching them.

And Max had his best time yet!

Jordan gets very bored at the long races, so he got to go to a festival with his cousins! He’s happy, just hot!

So fun.

Emilia’s favorite part of taking out her braids: mermaid waves!

And then tonight she realized that she LOST A TOOTH!!! Her first one!! We think she might have swallowed it… oops.

So she wrote a note to the tooth fairy. All is well!
