Finalllllllly feeling like fall around here!

It went from 85 degrees to the 50s here and I have to say I’m loving it.

The fridges of my dreams. We might be moving THIS WEEK. Eeeeep. Feels like our house is in shambles at the moment.

During hockey lessons we hang out.

Jordan will sit at this table and play with Emilia for at least an hour. She has so much patience with him.

But then mid-week he made himself “a couch bed” and I could tell he didn’t feel well. We’re on our first ear infection of the year. He rebounded by this weekend!

Today we had our last cross country meet of the year.

This has been the best sport ever. So heart warming and positive and uplifting!

She did the best she’s done so far!

And this boy had a freaking hockey game at 10:30 and still came to run his race! Best time too!!! Look at that finish line sprint.

I love that she is crossing with a huge smile. My girl!

And how does Max look like a teenager?! He did SO well. He is super into sports right now (loves them ALL! wants to play them ALL!) and this has been such a fun season.

I wish October lasted forever!

This week!!!

Hard to believe it’s October.

I did my first simmer pot of the year.

I live for the outfits Emilia picks out. This is what she wore to theater!

We also had school open house. Sparkles forever!

I love watching them so much. It was so hot, I don’t know how they did it! And there were so many bees. Where is my October weather?!

We had a big week over here!!

And a very big birthday for Eddie!!

Okay but first! The start of the week.

Today we had another cross country meet! The third week in the rain. Ooomph!

It was chilly and rainy and Jordan basically ran around for hours.

Then we got home and I cut Jordan’s hair. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First, I love that he does this to “hide” from us. He thinks he is playing hide and seek here. It’s my fave.

Anyway, I had bought hair cutting scissors (that sounds real professional) on amazon a few months ago and cut five inches (!!!) off Emilia’s hair before school started. I have called twice to get Jordan a hair cut and this place hasn’t called me back, so I just decided to try it.

Still super curly and it may be a mess in the morning, but at least it’s a little cleaner!

How are we half way through September already?!

Our week was great, just filled with school, lots of kids’ activities and regular life!

Foggy mornings going to school – this is one of our favorite trees to watch in the fall.

Emilia started her theater class back up again this week! Oh my gosh, she LOVES it. And she chose this dress to wear. She is a dream!

Then the kids had another cross country meet today!!

It rained almost the entire time.

They are so fun to watch!

The ending this week was all fun, compared to last week.

We had a lovely short little week!!

And the kids had their first cross country meet today, which was SO FUN.

We ate some bruschetta pasta salad all week.

I bought Emilia these uggs almost 2 years ago at an end of the season sale. They finally fit!

Watching the zamboni clean the ice is the highlight.

These two play together so well during Max’s hockey practice. Jordan convinced her for some “baby oreos,” as he calls them.

It was so much nicer to sit in a freezing ice rink and not in 92 degree heat. Honestly I think I could live in Alaska. I hate the heat, period.

This sunset was stunning at cross country practice!

Hot and humid but a popsicle saved the day.

First little cold of the season. Oh gosh. Last year he was sick from November to March. I hope this year is different!

This may be my favorite room in our new house. The pantry!

And today, the kids had their first cross country meet!

Emilia was so emotional towards the end. Oh my gosh, it was so sweet. She said “I loved it so much and it was hard!”

They are in different age divisions so we got to watch both!

She did amazing!

So did he!!

And so happy to be done!

The energy at this meet was amazing and so wonderful! Everyone cheering for everyone and the kids loved it so much. It was such a great end to the week!

Hello September!!

This is how our week went!

With both kids in school, Jordan just has no idea what to do with himself.

I’ve made many batches of pesto for the freezer.

Piano at grandma’s.

This is the face when grandma sneaks you a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch.

Had a little back-to-school night at the kids’ school.

And now I’m feeling like fall can really start! Even if it’s going to be in the 90s this week…
