We had the birthday party circuit this weekend, so we made something easy for dinner. Grilled steak salads for mother’s day! They were SO GOOD.

First week of May!!

Just a regular old week with lots of school and activities!

Jordan begged to try a lime while I was testing some recipes.

Both kids had baseball games! A few of them.

This is how we entertain ourselves.

I went on a field trip with Max’s class this week while Jordan had some water table fun.

Then we also hung out in the car during tennis for Emilia. Hello, we live in the car!

It was stormy off and on too.

Emilia and I made overnight sourdough pizza dough.

Sitting at Emilia’s games is new for him!!

We had a playdate with cousins!!

Bedtime is always an event here.

Emilia waters our herbs every night. We haven’t had a chance to plant them yet.

It’s so fun to watch Max now.

The big dig provides endless entertainment.

And Emilia finally got to make her salad!

So proud. They ate most of it straight from the bowl, haha. That was the week!

All the trees in bloom are so pretty.

Our family just blows through the sourdough waffles.

She is getting so great at cooking!

And she wanted to come to the greenhouse today too.

We got all our herbs…

How are we nearing the end of April?!

This week was all sorts of fun!

Always searching for puddles.

And finding the best ones! We had a ton of rain this week.

Some BBQ chicken thighs I made for dinner one night.

My mom and I had a show this week! We saw Company!

And I got this pretzel margarita that honestly… was terrible. Do not recommend.

The show was good!

The rest of the week we did some party prep because we hosted my niece’s first birthday this weekend.

Her theme was her “berry first birthday”… so strawberry lanterns were necessary!

Also heading into baseball season full swing.

Some bird watching for Jordan.

This made me so happy! I walked into Max and Emilia playing this after school with my mom. I used to do the same thing at my grandparents house!

Best part of baseball for us is hanging with friends!

Then we had Lucy’s first birthday!!

I mean can you even handle the cuteness?!

My SIL got the most adorable cookies.

And we had a blast.

This morning Emilia and I made another big batch of sourdough waffles. Look at her concentration in cracking the egg!

She is such a great helper. Seriously helps me do so much throughout the week and loves it.

Max started a new summer hockey team… how cool is his jersey?!

Jordan was being extra quiet and I couldn’t find him and there is where I found him. #thirdchild.

We started off the week with the eclipse!!!

The kids were off school for this… and I almost didn’t even get the glasses.

I’m so glad I did because it was so cool!

Loved experiencing this with them.

It didn’t get completely dark here, but it was noticeably darker!

Recipe fail!! Whomp whomp.

Emilia can feed the sourdough starter all on her own now.

Took a little trip to urban air to get the wiggles out.

They love it.

Emilia got to bring home the class “pet” this week – thank goodness it’s not a real one. She took it to tennis.

We sat in the rain while she played!

This is what a two hour target trip does to you.

I couldn’t find Jordan for a minute. Came over and here he was. My heart!!!

Made sourdough pizza with our pet too.

Sourdough crust is the best.

We’re still very into puzzles over here.

Friday night we went to see our school’s musical!

Eddie took Jordan BACK to target. His favorite place.

Sugar high before bed.

Max loves all the trading cards.

Saturday we celebrated my cutie pie niece’s birthday!

I think Jordan needs a ponycycle.

Made a triple batch of sourdough waffles this morning because everyone LOVES them. Lots in the freezer now.

I can practically smell them through the screen.

Masters sunday morning!!

We got the taste of the masters this year so that is what we ate today!

It was good! I think we’d get it again.

This week!!

We had a lovely little low key post Easter week.

We could live at Barnes and Noble and the library.

The kids adore it.

Don’t mind my tween taking a giant stanley to school.

Tennis is Emilia’s favorite sport so far!

My dad showed up with this ginormous coconut cream pie from a local diner.

And our whole weekend was spent watching Emilia’s spring play!! She was in the The Little Mermaid and has been working so hard since January!

We had all the snacks to keep this guy occupied.

She was SO good and just loves this. She loves to sing so much and it is super fun for her because they usually do Disney junior performances.

Max’s turn to sit through her shows after she sits through his hockey games!!

She is the sweetest girl ever.

She had two performances and got all these flowers from friends and family. We all adore her.

Happy Easter!

These little chicks are my favorite!

Just started the week out with a nature walk.

One of the outfits Emilia put together this week.

We had some gorgeous skies!

I love watching Emilia play tennis.

She loves it too!

Also just a bit obsessed with this boy.

We went to the mall to ride the easter train with Cooper! Max said “I don’t think nine year olds ride the train…”

The lego store also had an easter egg hunt which was fun.

Just starting her young with my obsessions, you know.

Also had to document this outfit!! I did not know she had that on, haha.

‘Tis the season for fruit platters on repeat.

Also still making a big batch of sourdough waffles every week because it’s what the kids are eating before school!

The eggmazing reigns supreme.

Even Jordan loved it!

Then we went on a little family date.

The happiest girl alive.

One last friday fish sandwich!

Jordan refused to take a pic with him in his matching shirt. We tried!!

He was being hilarious and ornery.

Eddie did his annual easter egg hunt for the kids early saturday morning.

Emilia helps me feed my sourdough starter every morning and night! She has it down.

Jordan is the highlight of our lives!! We all fawn over him constantly and can’t help it.

It was so bright and sunny!! No complaints.

This might be my favorite dress she has ever worn.

And then we had a big easter brunch! I didn’t get to take pics but we had my overnight croissant bake, creme brulee french toast, ham and turkey, all the works for sandwiches, cheesy potatoes, a huge salad, deviled eggs and more dessert than we could handle. Yay Easter!

Max had a hockey tournament and the girls got all dressed up to go!

A few games yesterday, and few today, all wins which led to the championship game!

Best cheering fans.

Emilia wanted a snow cone at the tournament all weekend and finally got her wish tonight.

Another week!!

Last night I saw Grease downtown.

Today we were all SO TIRED from losing an hour of sleep.
