A combination of melty brie, buttery pastry, sweet honey, and toasted pecans makes this baked brie in puff pastry a delicious appetizer for any occasion.

If appetizers are your favorite thing about a party, you and I should probably be friends.

I could eat plates of small bites and dips for the rest of my life and be totally happy. Take me to a party and I’m going to find the marinated cheesecrab rangoon dip, and bacon-wrapped little smokies pretty much immediately.

The last few years, I’ve been really into combining melty brie with buttery pastry. It’s pretty much the perfect appetizer combination!

I’ve made apple butter brie bites and cranberry brie bites, and it was about time I made baked brie in puff pastry.

If you love the combination of tart, crisp apples and sweet, sticky caramel, making homemade caramel apples is a must! Keep these delicious treats simple or add your favorite toppings to make them your own.

Oh man. Caramel apples. What. a. treat. Every time there’s a fair during the fall, these babies show up and make my freakin’ day.

I love, love, love them so much. It’s kind of silly how much. When we go to Disney World, I love checking out all their super cool creations, especially the adorable ones with Oreos for Mickey ears.

As much as I love getting caramel apples at the carnival or apple orchard, I love making them at home, too. After all, when you have a kiddo who is ALL about Halloween, it’s an extra-fun activity to do together as a family.

If you’ve never made homemade caramel apples before, you’re going to be shocked at how simple they actually are. All you need are a few ingredients and you’re on your way.

Plus, you can add any of your favorite toppings, so it’s a great chance to go all out and make the indulgent apple of your dreams!

These are a fantastic addition to a Halloween party, right alongside brownie dirt pudding cupsHalloween rice krispie treats, a Halloween dessert board, and Halloween popcorn balls.

Carbs are my ultimate comfort food. Maybe you have figured that out by now if you’ve been following me for any period of time.

Which means I’m making a lot of Bisquick biscuits.

Over the years, I’ve become known by family, friends, and readers for my cheesecake recipes. My neighbors know to get excited when they see me walking over with a few slices of a new cheesecake creation to share.

I mean, if I’m going to be well-known for something, it might as well be one of my very favorite desserts, right?

This recipe for chocolate chip cheesecake is one that definitely helped me maintain my reputation for rich, ultra-decadent cheesecakes. After all, you’re worth a little indulgence every once in a while!

You all know that I love – like, am a little obsessed with – the New York Times chocolate chip cookie recipe. And so many of you are obsessed with them, too.

But my brother hates chocolate, so instead of making them the “normal” way for him, I make them without the chocolate chips.

It wasn’t until I was texting with Stephie, who also hates chocolate, that I realized that there might be more of you who would wanna know about this trick.

And even as someone who loves chocolate chip cookies, this might be one of my favorite adaptations of the original recipe yet.

One-pot and one-pan dinners are always a hit around here, especially this time of year.

I don’t know what it is about fall, but it is just a never-ending list of things to do and places to be. And after working during the day and shuttling Elle around to her activities in the afternoon, I don’t want to spend a lot of energy on making dinner.

So meals like one-pot spaghetti and one-pot mac and cheese end up on the menu a lot.

These sheet pan fajitas aren’t made on the stove, but they’re baked on a big sheet pan in the oven. Simply toss everything together in a bowl to season and then onto the baking sheet it goes to cook.

I’ll even whip up a flavorful crema for topping the fajitas when I have the extra energy – but I’ve been known to skip it when time is tight. 

These chicken fajitas are easy to make but so flavorful that your family is sure to ask for them again and again, just like mine does!

Brownie dirt pudding cups are a delicious and easy Halloween dessert! Dress them up with graveyard decorations for a spooky afternoon snack or party treat.

The weather may only just be starting to cool off, but I’ve been mentally ready for fall for a couple of months now. 

I am not much of a Halloween  person and never have been. I mean let’s be real here, I’m the girl who walked through haunted houses with her eyes closed the entire time while clutched to the person ahead until I hit my mid-twenties.

I fast-forward through scary movie trailer commercials because if not, I’ll have nightmares for no less than 3 days.

And I always prefer pretty fall decor that can stay out until Thanksgiving. Halloween popcorn balls are about as spooky as I prefer to get.

But Elle is a certified Halloween Girl. I think it started the year our neighbors decided to creep out their house with glowing-eye ghosts, witch legs shoved into bushes, faux headstones with bones, and creepy handprints on their garage windows.

Literally the stuff my nightmares are made of. But Elle loves it.

I finally decided I could give in just a little, so we now have a flickering lightbulb for our light post and some adorably creepy ghosts. And we make sure to pick up all the toppings and decorations to make Halloween monster sugar cookies and these brownie dirt puddings dressed up like mini graveyards.

This time of year, I’m a big fan of apples for breakfast. 

Sometimes I get fancy and make things like caramel apple cinnamon rolls or apple cider donuts. Other times, it’s as simple as spreading some of my slow cooker apple butter on a piece of toast and shoving that in my mouth while I get the kids ready in the morning.

These glazed apple scones fall somewhere in the middle. They’re pretty easy to make, but scones always seem fancy, don’t they? 

I’ll be snacking on these perfectly spiced scones all autumn long – right until it’s time for cranberry orange scone season!

You guys know how much I love dip recipes by now. They’re totally one of my favorite foods.

And this one is the kind that makes football bearable to me. Give me a buffet with Rotel dip, chili cheese dip, and buffalo chicken dip on it and I am one happy woman.

Rotel dip is also a favorite when I’m hosting because you can toss it into a slow cooker and keep it warm throughout the night. You can even make it ahead of time – and you know I love that!
