Are you tired of dry chicken breasts? You must try Air Friyer Chicken Breasts. In this recipe, I will guide you step by step through making juicy chicken breasts that your kids will eat with gusto.
How to choose the best ingredients for Air Fryer Chicken Breast
Chicken Breast: You should choose medium-sized chicken breasts so that they can be perfectly baked in the Air Fryer and are not dried out but juicy inside. I prefer medium-sized ones, about 8 oz (225g).
Gyro Seasoning: If you don’t have this spice at home, you should try my spice mix, the composition I got from a Greek woman when I was in Rhodes. Of course, it also contains my invention because creating new spices is a passion of mine. I love how the smells of herbs and spices float around the house.
Olive Oil: Choose only the best quality from the first pressing. I recommend Italian or Greek, but Spanish will also be good.
Tips and Tricks
IIf time permits, it’s highly recommended to marinate the meat in olive oil and spices a day before cooking. This step significantly enhances the flavor and tenderness of the dish.
Choose the best quality meat you have available to enjoy the taste.
Heat the air fryer first. Mine tells you that you can put the meat in the oven. Turn the meat over halfway through the roast, leaving the middle of the air fryer free. In my experience, everything bakes better when using this method.
Air Fryer Chicken Breast is a magical dish in which the spice really gives the chicken breasts flavor. If you don’t have an Air Fryer, I recommend buying one; I love this one. However, I used a grill pan or oven when I didn’t have one. You can also make vegetarian tofu in the same way.
Air Fryer Chicken BreastStep By Step
You take as many portions as you have in your air fryer. Mine is a 6-liter (5.7 liter), and 4 8-oz chicken breasts (220 g) easily mix. This is the perfect size to cook a juicy chicken breast in 15 minutes, which I have never been able to cook in the oven.
My favorite blend of herbs and spices is my homemade Gyro Seasoning. You can try it, too, and enjoy it in Mediterranean cuisine.
You need 1/2 tablespoon good olive oil and Gyro Seasoning 1 flat teaspoon per chicken breast
Step 1: Wash the chicken breasts, cutting off the skin and veins if they bother you. Dry with a white paper kitchen towel.
Step 2: If you have time, first marinate chicken breasts with olive oil and spices, make a marinade in a bowl, coat the chicken breast thoroughly, and leave in the fridge for 1-2 hours. It would be perfect if you could do it for 24 hours.
Then the meat will absorb the spices perfectly, adding flavor and aroma. If you don’t have time, skip the marinating process of chicken breasts and coat only in the spice mixture and olive oil to prepare for baking in the air fryer.
Step3: Set your air fryer to 165 degrees C (328 degrees F) and the baking time to 10 minutes. The meat will bake during this time without drying out in the middle. Halfway through baking, turning the meat over to the other side is good so that it bakes evenly.
Step 4: The second stage is to set the Air Fryer to 185 degrees C (365 degrees F), at which point the almost-cooked meat will crisp up on the outside but not dry out on the inside. This process takes 6-8 minutes, depending on how cooked you want the chicken on the outside.
Step 5: Remove the chicken from the air fryer and cut it into slices. This step completes the cooking process and prepares the chicken for serving.
Air Fryer Chicken Breast is an incredibly easy and healthy idea for a family dinner. It's quick, and the meat comes out juicy like never before! Be sure to try this incredibly easy and healthy recipe!

Can I cook frozen chicken breast in the air fryer?
It’s crucial to use the defrost function and then marinate the chicken breasts in spices and olive oil. Baking frozen chicken breasts is not recommended. The meat must be defrosted before baking. The exception is ready meals that are designed for this. This knowledge will ensure you’re always prepared when cooking chicken.
How can I prevent my chicken breasts from being dry inside?
According to websites and books, the recommended internal temperature of chicken breasts during baking cannot exceed 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Still, it would help if you had a thermometer for this, and the Air Fryer has such a short baking time that it is difficult to maintain this temperature. That is why I recommend my two-step baking method (check the recipe). Then, you can be sure that even without a thermometer, the chicken breasts will come out juicy and aromatic.

In the last year or so, this air fryer baked potato recipe has become my favorite way to cook baked potatoes. Don’t get me wrong—I still love my oven baked potato recipe. But more often than not, I only make one or two baked potatoes at a time. With such a small batch, using the air fryer just makes sense. For one, it’s WAY quicker. My air fryer preheats in seconds, and it yields perfectly cooked baked potatoes in about 40 minutes. That’s roughly 15 minutes fewer than a typical baked potato needs in my oven. The potatoes are also […]

These Easy Chicken Nuggets not only deliver on the easy part of their name, but they’re insanely delicious too! They taste just as good (if not better) than fast food or store bought frozen nuggets and are made with simple ingredients. Kid’s go crazy for these!
Why I Love This Recipe
Homemade chicken nuggets are one of the most requested recipes I’ve received since I started creating family-friendly meals for Weelicious. While I’ve made Baked Chicken Nuggets before, I wanted to create a version that closely resembles the fast food nuggets everyone loves. And so, this recipe was born! Chicken nuggets and french fries are convenient and undeniably loved by kids, so naturally have I several recipes for each.
This homemade chicken nugget recipe is incredibly easy to make and offers the same crispy, delicious taste as fast food—but with healthier ingredients! It comes together in under 30 minutes using ingredients you likely already have in your kitchen. Plus, you can make a large batch and freeze them for later, making these nuggets not only a budget-friendly recipe but also a huge time-saver when you need a quick meal.
The Ingredients
Chicken Breasts: The star of the show! We use boneless, skinless chicken breasts for this recipe, a great protein source!
Old Fashioned Oats: Also known as rolled oats, this ingredient helps bind the chicken nuggets together. Plus, oats are high in fiber which adds some extra nutritional benefits.
Panko breadcrumbs: Panko is what gives these nuggets that irresistible crispy, crunchy exterior!
Grated parmesan cheese: Parmesan adds flavor to the nuggets, but if you need these to be dairy free you can omit it.
Seasonings: Dried parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, and kosher salt add tons of flavor to this recipe!
Variations and Substitutions
Ground Chicken: If you don’t have a food processor, you can use ground chicken in this recipe. To do so, you’ll need to blend the oats into a finer consistency and then combine them with the ground chicken and remaining ingredients as instructed.
Seasonings: Feel free to customize the seasonings to your taste preferences!
Gluten Free: Use certified gluten free oats and gluten free panko to make this recipe suitable for people with gluten sensitivities.
How to Make Easy Chicken Nuggets
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Place the chicken chunks, oats and seasonings in a food processor until chicken is finely chopped and ingredients are combined.
Step 2: Place the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese in a shallow bowl or on a plate and stir to combine.
Step 3: With moistened hands, roll about 1 tablespoon of chicken mixture between your palms and flatten it into a nugget shape.
Step 4: Gently press nuggets into bread crumbs to evenly coat them. Place nuggets on a parchment lined baking sheet. Lightly spray nuggets with cooking spray. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
Recipe Tip
If you want your nuggets to be even more golden brown, place under the broiler for 2 minutes after cooking.
How to Air Fry Homemade Chicken Nuggets
Making these homemade chicken nuggets in the air fryer is super easy! Simply form the nuggets as directed, spray each one with cooking spray, and place them in your air fryer basket. Cook at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Since every air fryer can vary, keep an eye on your nuggets while they cook to ensure perfect results!
How to Freeze Homemade Chicken Nuggets
Many parents keep frozen chicken nuggets on hand as a quick meal solution, but have you ever looked closely at the ingredients in your favorite brand? Are they pronounceable? Are they things you want your kids eating? I was shocked when I first checked the labels, which is why I now make extra homemade chicken nuggets to freeze. This way, I always have a batch ready for when the craving hits, and I feel good knowing exactly what’s in them!
Before cooking, place the coated, raw nuggets on a parchment-lined baking sheet, freeze them for an hour.
Put frozen nuggets in labeled zip-top bags and freeze for up to 4 months.
When ready to eat, cook as directed, adding 1-2 minutes to the cooking time.
Tips and Tricks
Use Wet Hands for Shaping: Keep your hands slightly damp while shaping the nuggets to prevent the chicken mixture from sticking to your fingers.
Chill the Mixture: If the chicken mixture feels too soft to handle, place it in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to firm up. This makes shaping the nuggets easier and helps them hold their form while cooking.
Coat Nuggets Evenly: To get an even coating, press the nuggets gently into the breadcrumb mixture, turning them a few times. This ensures a crispy coating all over.
Crispy on the outside, tender inside, freshly made easy chicken nuggets your kids will beg for everyday. What could be more simple, economical, nutritious and yummy than that?

Skip the takeout, and make these crispy garlic parmesan chicken wings in the air fryer in less than 30 minutes instead!
If you’re craving something crispy, savory, and loaded with flavor, these Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings might just become your new go-to! They’re easy to make and guaranteed to be a hit on gameday, at your next gathering, or for a cozy night in.
What are Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings?
Garlic parmesan chicken wings are the perfect blend of tender chicken, aromatic garlic, and rich parmesan cheese. The wings are coated in a mouthwatering mix of spices and seasonings and then air-fried to crispy perfection. Once they’re cooked to a golden brown, they’re tossed in melted butter, freshly grated parmesan, and a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a burst of flavor in every bite.
These wings are all about combining simple ingredients to create something truly irresistible. The smoky paprika adds a subtle depth of flavor, while the fresh lemon zest brightens everything up. Parmesan cheese melts into the wings, creating a savory, cheesy coating that’s hard to resist. Whether you’re enjoying these wings as a game-day snack or a fun weeknight dinner, they’re bound to become a favorite!
Ingredients You Need
Chicken Wings – Make sure to pat them dry to ensure a crispy finish. We love using both drumettes and wingettes for a mix of textures.
Smoked Paprika – This adds a warm, smoky flavor to the wings. It’s a game-changer in this recipe!
Lemon Zest – Fresh lemon zest brightens up the dish and adds a zingy, citrusy note that complements the richness of the butter and parmesan.
Fresh Garlic – Mince it yourself for the best flavor. Fresh garlic brings a pungent, aromatic kick to the wings.
Sea Salt – This is a must-have for enhancing all the other flavors in the dish. It makes every ingredient pop.
Black Pepper – Pepper adds just a touch of heat and balance to the wings.
Fresh Lemon Juice – Citrus brings a touch of acidity that pairs perfectly with the creamy parmesan and buttery garlic.
Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese – Freshly grated parmesan adds a nutty, savory finish that clings to every wing.
Fresh Parsley – Parsley brings a pop of color and fresh flavor to the table.
Cornstarch – This is a great way to get the wings extra crispy. It helps create a crunchy coating without overpowering the other flavors.
Melted Butter – We love using butter to add richness and help the parmesan cheese stick to the wings.
How to Make Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings
Prep the wings. Use paper towels to absorb any moisture on the wings.
Mix the coating. Whisk together the cornstarch, lemon zest, sea salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic. Toss the wings in the mixture so that they are evenly coated.
Cook the wings. Arrange the wings in the air fryer basket, making sure they are in a single layer. Halfway through cooking, flip them.
Finish with flavor. Once the wings are crispy and cooked through, toss them with melted butter and freshly grated parmesan cheese. Sprinkle them with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Variations
Heat – Sprinkle in some cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
Herbs – Toss the wings with rosemary or thyme for an earthy, aromatic twist.
Garlic – Double the amount of garlic for an extra garlicky punch that’s sure to please.
Cheese – Swap out the parmesan for pecorino romano for a saltier, sharper flavor.
Citrus – Use lime zest and juice instead of lemon for a tangier, zesty variation.
Can I Store Leftovers?
If stored, the wings might lose their crispiness. To keep them as close to fresh as possible, reheat them in the oven or air fryer to bring back that crispy texture.
Refrigerate the wings in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
For longer storage, freeze the wings for up to 2 months. Thaw and reheat as needed.

Kosher Salt: A sprinkle of salt is crucial in this recipe. Feel free to experiment with other seasonings like garlic powder, smoked paprika, or cumin to make this snack your own.

I like to stash mine in a mason jar in my car or purse so they’re always on hand when we’re driving around between school and activities.
FAQs
Why are my roasted chickpeas not crispy?
The key to super crispy chickpeas is to dry them really well after rinsing them. Use a paper towel or tea towel to pat them dry. The drier they are when they go into the air fryer, the crispier they’ll become.
Does air frying chickpeas make them less healthy?
Air frying chickpeas is actually one of the healthier cooking methods. Most of the protein, fiber, and minerals in chickpeas remain intact, making air-fried chickpeas a nutritious and delicious snack option!
Why are my chickpeas popping in the air fryer?
Chickpeas pop in the air fryer because the moisture inside turns into steam, building up pressure. To minimize popping, dry your chickpeas well and avoid overcrowding the basket for even cooking.
Crispy Air Fryer Chickpeas are the ultimate healthy snack! They’re simple to make, endlessly customizable, and always delicious. Whether you’re prepping school snacks for the week or just need something to munch on during the afternoon, these crispy chickpeas are sure to hit the spot.
Drain and rinse your chickpeas then pat dry thoroughly with a paper towel or tea towel.
